Our Mission
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are responding to God’s love in our mission to be an all-inclusive community in the heart of the city. We seek to improve the spiritual, social and physical well-being of the congregation, its members, our neighbors and the neighborhood.
We Serve Outwardly & Spiritually Through. . .
v The Inn at Broad – transition supportive housing;
v The Manna Café – a weekly community meal where all are welcome.
v A community of artists;
v Bridge ministries between persons of different life and cultural situations;
v Service learning for college students, AmeriCorps volunteers, community service workers, and incoming mission teams;
v Bethlehem on Broad Street, a Christmas week mission with the poor of Columbus;
v 501 Alcoholics Anonymous for recovering alcoholics;
v Compassionate Care ministers tending to the ill and elderly;
v Annual mission trips for youth and adults;
v Ministry with the mentally ill, mentally retarded and developmentally disabled;
v Campfire – Downtown MegaClub for boys and girls;
v Recreation for college students, local employees, neighborhood schools and urban churches;
v HIV/AIDS ministry;
v And social justice activism for affordable housing, against the death penalty, environmental justice, economic justice, racial justice, peace concerns, equal rights for all persons including those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered, and to stop the expansion of the lottery.
